You can read the hundreds of other reviews here that mention it's great drama, imaginative horror and out-of-the-box approach to supernatural mythology but the writers  of this show almost always have a good twist of humor placed. I have laughed harder at some scenes in these episodes than shows that are designed to be comedies found  around the networks the last 10 years. Jensen Ackles has an excellent sense of comedic timing and is the heart and soul of the Supernatural dvd set seasons 1-7. He  really deserves top billing. So if you are looking for a good laugh on the new Friday line-up then this is the show to tune into.

This show is becoming the Kevin Bacon of the of television series. If you had a favorite scifi, horror, fantasy or drama series over the last 10 years you will see an  actor from those shows guesting on Supernatural. The fact that so many good actors are wanting guest spots on this speaks to it's quality.

I used to be a huge fan of shows like Buffy, Angel, Charmed, and Freakylinks. Obviously three of those four are no longer on the air, and I can't stand Rose McGowan's  constant idiocy. But all that aside, Supernatural is a great show. Although I was a little skeptic myself coming into the show, (Jensen Ackles) and Jared Padalecki's  chemistry makes for very funny and/or awkward moments.

For those of you at home who see this show as "ripping off" some other movie or using some old fiction novel... Take a moment to realize that is a big part of what the  show is supposed to be about. All of those things that aren't real and go "bump" in the night are real.

Supernatural is the show is back to talking about horror being also funny, as only Buffy did. I will council in a spasmodic way, but you feel, that you like the  Remington Steele 1-5 on dvd, is not particularly bloody (sure, some scene not save), but to those who do not like the genre I do not think will affect. Dean and Sam Winchester are my new  two heroes,and I can not stay longer without knowing what happens to them. And then, then...there is Dean!! Jensen Ackles is absolutely fantastic in the role that  suits most of all, more than Smallville and Dawson's creek: he is so cute, funny, but brave and strong at the same time...Maybe he is the reason why I watch  supernatural? I have seen the first two seasons. I love I can't wait to find out what will happen next! There is nothing House can do that will surprise you. People you have to see  this show. I mean it's my favorite show since The X-files. I have to write ten lines there but it's hard. You just have to see this show. You get wrapped in it and  wish there was a Doctor that would take changes instead of saying there is nothing we can do you are dead. The people that play in House M.D seasons 1-8 complete box  set are so great. I love how they mix so well. I would love to be in this show. My mother and I watch this show all the time. Everyone should watch this show. It's a  must see. If you can't get it on T.V. then get it on DVD. What do you have to lose, nothing it's a great show.

It's got interesting plots which even I can understand (most of the time anyway), and the only medicine I know is paracetamol - you don't need to be a medic to like  it! It's got interesting story lines, including a couple of love lines; however, they don't get in the way of the show.

Hugh Laurie (Dr. Gregory House) is fantastic; he is funny in the sarcastic way and, let's face it, he is number 10 in the 10 sexiest men according to one of the  magazines. House believes that all patients are lying, that it's normal to be selfish and that happy families don't exist.

Other doctors, particularly Dr. Cameron (the name of the actress escapes me) are the opposites of House - trusting and making choices based on morals (picking rarer  disease instead of a more common one that however can only be caused by adultery of the patient, etc). The final decision is often up to House, and is almost always  right, if not the first time round.

Even the music in the opening is brilliant, Teardrop by Massive Attack, and the Grey's Anatomy box set seasons 1-8 will keep you on your toes, except for those hundreds of moments in each episode  which will make you smile and perhaps 10 or 20 moments that will make you laugh out loud. One Tree Hill is the best teen drama I've seen. It deals with issues like teen pregnancy, drugs, sex & love triangles, but not overly clichéd like in most teen dramas. When I first heard about this show, I was expecting another OC clone, but was hooked from the first episode. This show is very underrated and is often compared to the OC, but IMO, OTH is way better! The OC only concentrates on love and couples, and none of the characters really grow because you only see their love lives. One Tree Hill series 1-9 box set is realistic, funny, and not overly dramatic. It deals with real issues in a different way than a lot of other teen dramas do. If you haven't watched it yet, you definitely should get the DVDs. You won't be disappointed!

I don't know why up till now i didn't have time to watch this wonderful serial. But i did and i've watched all the seasons in once.And that's why i've become addicted.It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it makes me think for a lot of tings in life but most of all it makes me DREAM. So for me this is the best thing that i have seen in years and i just can't believe that there will be only 3 seasons.Please Warner brothers don't make us wait too long we are all devastated and sad from the last episode and want to see the happy ending :).Because I'm sure that we all want love like Nathan and Haley's but we don't want this to be the finish.

i personally love this Army Wives seasons 1-5 so much. as a teenager, you feel so lonely and confused and sometimes your forget you're not the only one and this show really helps you realize you're not alone. You're gonna screw up a lot whether you want to or not, but it's okay because it's part of growing up and you have to learn someway..

the actors are excellent and i really feel a genuine connection to it and experience genuine sadness when something bad happens and happiness when something good happens. This is one of the most original series that I have ever seen. I am not a big fan of "serious" series. I don't like to follow them through an entire season, but if you miss some episodes you might get lost. I prefer comedies instead. The kind of Desperate Housewives seasons 1-8 dvd boxset that show us the problem which is solved during that same episode. But this one is the exception.

Although is a drama/comedy/mystery show, it has many more elements. It has good plots and sub-plots. But as long as the series goes, you get even more interested. I really like how well balanced those elements are. You get to laugh in every episode but you might end up being intrigued by the mystery within that exactly same episode. I think it has it all. Even really original characters that are wonderfully played by the main actresses and actors. I don't think this show is the "only girls" type, it might be as entertaining for guys as well.

It is certainly enjoyable for everyone. Most will find it appealing in more than one way.

Royal Pains seasons 1-3 is a brilliant series,I have followed the show for years and just went into the page to review the last episode,but I decided to review the show as well since I realized I never reviewed it before,I will miss this show dearly,it had a terrific,attractive cast,the show was very funny and always kept you wondering.My favorites were Susan and Mike Delfino,a brilliant couple that where well able to solve there problems,Teri Hatcher is a brilliant actress.

As an Films Studies student from London. Watching this film was one of the most exciting thrill that ever happened to me. The powerful use of script and the  Cinematography used to shoot the scenes were perfect and powerful. The first sequence of the film grips the audiences attention that this is not about brutal murders  or shooting people without reason but involves discipline and symbolises the role played by Vito Corleone as being like a senator or a president when people come to  help. I have watched this film more than 20 times and still don't get bored of it. If you want to compare it with Citizen Cane or Scarface, you can't. Because its too  artistic and a perfect film for a gangster/crime hybrid film. When Al Pacino's role changes the film creates more suspense and concern on how he would run The  Godfather complete dvd set, but everyone then believes in him and he then becomes the next Godfather.

This film is one of the best film ever to be made. Perfect in the way it starts and subsequently the ending as well, if you haven't watch this film didn't understand  the concept of it, then don't bother watching films. This is the best film ever to be made...10/10

There can be no mistake. When you watch The Godfather, you know you are watching something special. The acting is superb. The story all consuming. You wonder, will you  ever be able to watch another film without using The Godfather as a bench-mark. You won't be able to help yourself.

I hadn't seen the trilogy until recently. I have now watched it twice in the space of a month. The whole film is gripping. I hated characters, loved others, and felt  the Bored to Death conflict the whole film was about. You wonder what you would do. You search your soul. I own the first two seasons of the big bang theory, I also happen to own the first 7 seasons of Two and a Half Men from the same writers.

In my opinion this show is a 10/10. It has everything that I personally enjoy: great writing, good character rapport and enough wit and jokes that require at least  some thought to keep me interested. Furthermore it is not as raunchy as Two and a Half Men, though sex and sexual jokes seem to be more commonplace now than when The  Big Bang Theory 1-5 box set first began, it is still not the main premise of most episodes which instead focus on these quirky, nerdy guys...who at first appear  annoying (especially Sheldon) but in time grow up the viewer.

I find that Sheldon and Harold are the two characters that drive the show in terms of laughs. Others could easily disagree, but I find that in terms of humour and  acting abilities those two characters do it for me. Every character has their value to the show and it wouldn't be the same if either Penny, Raj or Leonard were not  written in, but I always look forward to the lines and lives of Sheldon and Harold to draw laughter.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) in particular is impressive with his typical fast talking Texan style (without the drawl) that keeps my attention. He does the most physical  acting of all of the main characters and his antics are (sometimes disturbingly) hilarious.

Harold is just one of those try hard dorks who exudes an awkward confidence even though he doesn't realize quite how much of a nerd he is. His home life with his  mother is comical and provides otherwise unexpected laughs when they are together (though she is never seen). His moms lines always embarrass Harold and it is her  blunt comments and his reaction that brings a smile (in some ways some of my own funny memories as a young man).

I could go on and on, but in a quick summary, if you haven't seen the How I Met Your Mother dvd release date take the time to watch it. If you happen to not like it at first, watch a few more episodes,  the characters will grow on you, I assure you and unlike most shows, there are enough casual characters that interact with the main characters to bring a different  dynamic and infusion of funny lines.created by www.dvdseriesonline.com
 

This series is such a wonderful addition to the slop that is coming from Hollywood. It stands out so clearly that I wish everyone had seen it. I never even heard of any promotion for this show. I found it on Netflix while surfing and was utterly amazed at how well it was concepted and produced. Do yourself a favor and watch this series. With the online availability, there is no reason to say you haven't seen Californication complete 1-5 dvd. The character development between Moody and Runkle is the essence of male bonding. A friendship like that is hard to come by these days. For Moody to realize that his love for his unrequited is something he can hold on to is the only thing that can get him through his mid life crisis.

How to describe this show.. hmm... Really REALLY Great. There's so much going on an its all happening so fast that the only complaint one can really make is that there's not enough minutes in an episode. There are shows that don't work at being a full hour but this one would be so perfect for it.

Hank Moody is a struggling writer/man whore who due to many tragically spectacular antics has been cast out of NYC and whisked away by his ex-gf/soul-mate Karen to LA. The entire show revolves around Hank, Karen, and their daughter Becca. Here are the fine points, hank wrote really good stuff but his books are so far apart that by the time he gets off of one and onto the next everyone short of his mother is literally up hisbutt trying to shake loose some brilliance, in the meantime he spends a majority of his time sleeping his way through every female that moves in any place he just happens to be. Karen of course is off put by this to the point of disgust, as is his daughter which by now has gotten so used to it that any sort of normalcy would be considered strange. In the meantime Karen has gotten remarried briefly and divorced to a man who's daughter hank just happen to sleep with one drunken night, see what i mean? It's a never-ending roller-coaster that you absolutely have to see!

10/10 for well, everything. Keep up the good work and if you even think of canceling this show we might have to stage a coup and get better execs!

After watching the entire first season I am filled with expectation as to the start of the next. I am not one easily given to fits of anticipation, but this Downton Abbey dvd release date left me wanting more.

Some may find Downton Abbey to contain well worn themes, to not be overly concerned with the happenings of the day (because it is a period piece some may desire it to get mired down in the politics of the time it is situated in). I find that some of the most riveting stories are well worn thematically because good story telling relies on well worn themes. Some of the themes that carry this story are those of sibling rivalry, obligation to family, and ambition tempered by loyalty. Some of the subplots (like servants plotting against each other) work, even when they have been done repeatedly, because we have experienced these things in our own lives. This is where Downton Abbey is most successful, developing plots that most of us have experienced to nurture a connection with the storyline.

As far as Downton Abbey appearing shallow because it lacks a deep exploration of socialism, feminism and class warfare, I believe it is to his credit that Fellowes doesn't belabor or preach to us on the issues of the day, rather he looks at how people live their lives despite the goings on in the world. In my own experience that is what most people do, live their lives in the shadow of historical events because they do not control them, but instead are caught up with events in how they impact their lives. Jane Austin was likewise criticized for her lack of exploration of larger issues of her day, and yet she left us with personal stories that transcend what was happening in the moment.

I absolutely love this series! There are so many different stories going on within the overall picture that keep things interesting yet don't confuse you in trying to keep track of everything. The producers and actors have done a wonderful job in creating and maintaining suspense and tension and the show quickly becomes engrossing! I have watched this series at least 5 times through already and still can't help getting lost in the plot. I seriously get the butterflies wondering what's going to happen even after having seen the scenes many times before. The only downside is having to wait a ridiculous amount of time until the next season returns...January 2013! I'm in agony!

This series reminds me in so many ways of the epics created by the Merchant-Irvory partnership. The attention to detail is absolutely over the top. I think movies and series like Remains of the Day and Upstairs Downstairs are great primers for this series. If I had one criticism of the series, it would that the people start out being a bit too clean. Sanitation standards were not in place during the period when Downton Abbey begins. Notwithstanding, I so enjoy the little one liners that introduce plot lines that grow ever complex with each passing episode. I think to fully enjoy this series you need to have a bit of an understanding of the workings of these great houses in England. Watching the Outsourced dvd release, I was very skeptical as to how the creators could make a recurring show out of a call center concept where a bunch of folks sit  together in a room and answer phone calls. However, I'm pleasantly surprised to see the creativity around each character and leveraging the richness/nuisances of both  Indian and American cultures.

Given how the American workplace is evolving, shows like this help create a better understanding of different cultures. Don't get me wrong – it's not that a silly  comedy show teaches us Indian culture. It's about understanding that fun is universal. People are people – with feelings, emotions and shortcomings. (On an unrelated  note, I've indeed started being more polite to the customer service folks when my calls are routed to outside US ... to somebody equally human as me.) One thing about  the show that I like is that it's an equal opportunity show making fun (in a playful manner) of both Indian and American cultures. The Indian Gupta and the American  Charlie Davies are simply killer characters. Charlie's dialogs (especially around interpretation of India and in one episode Australia) are just hilarious. Gupta is  equally funny, and adds physical comedy which just cracks my entire family up.

I hope the show continues to do well and has a strong Season 2. It may benefit from continued investment by NBC to make the sets richer (like what we saw in Rajiv's  wedding episode). Also, a little bit of tighter editing will help clean off some jokes that fall flat occasionally or look too silly.

I could not help but notice that some reviewers rated this show negatively based on their inherent bias against outsourcing or the hurt it's causing to their cultural  feelings. Honestly, I do not agree with penalizing a small show, which is merely trying to bring a smile on your face, for all that dense stuff. I'm sure the audience  is not dumb enough to stereotype things based on a tiny show. Dunder Mifflin in the show Office does not represent the state of the art US corporate culture that  supports the world economy, the buffoons in the show Community do not represent the hard working folks who go to a community college, the intellectual scientist  community does not behave like the eccentric kids in the Big Bang Theory … Nevertheless, these shows provide us good entertainment – a hearty laugh after a day's  hard work. This is an amazing programme! No doubt about it, not because there are good looking people starring regularly in it, but because it's an amazing storyline, amazing  actors and well scripted!! It's also a very unique programme so for that reason alone it has done really well! Better than anyone ever expected probably! For anyone  who watches this i would recommend watching Criminal Minds if you don't already, it's very similar it's just more focused on serial killers as opposed to the odd  serial killer and mostly one off crimes. Anyway it's utterly fabulous and i don't know anyone who doesn't like this programme!! I would recommend watching The Number  23 if you enjoy CSI because there seems to be a pattern of this 'if you like CSI complete box set 1-12 you like The Number 23 and vice versa'.

The cast is excellent, and I have learned a great deal about something I never knew too much about - science and forensics. What amazes me to this very second, is how the forensics in the real world are pretty much non-existent. I live in the Washington, DC area (high crime rate, to say the  least) and see crimes that I think could have been solved within A week at the most, when they actually end up as unsolved. It is a tragedy, and I don't understand  that since the correct and valid information, studies, how it is done/should be done, etc. is on a screen, why it cannot be practiced in the real world.
